Lil's Hair Do :)

 Todd and I made a choice when Spencer started school to keep all of our kids home a year and send them to Kindergarten when they turn 6 instead of when they are 5. It's mostly because they all have summer birthdays, so they would be really young and would be competing with kids a lot older than they are. Plus, we'll get to keep them home another year when they are older. One more year of driving, having a job and just learning to be responsible :)
 (We hope anyway :) Soooo.... This is Lily's last year of preschool. This year, she is chillin' with Miss Holly and Miss Liz at Wonderland Preschool and sees Mr. Drew and Mr. David along with all the other teachers at the Child Development Center. She was so excited to go to school this year. She seems to have matured massively over a years time. She's so smart, figures things out all by her big girl self and just seems to handle herself very well.
 MOST of the time.(There is still plenty of DRAMA MAMA floating around the Bates home:) This year she has taken an active interest in what she is wearing and how her hair is done. She tells me almost everyday whether she wants piggy tails, a pony tail, or just long like a Princess. The day this picture was taken she was so excited about how her hair looked, although I'm not sure why, we do it like this a lot. But she was excited. So we took some pictures and she was posing, of course. She was so funny about it. Anyway, we are going to try really hard to enjoy this year. Hopefully it won't go by to fast. I think seeing her going through those big doors to the school might just break my heart. But she will go with a big smile on her face, ready to learn and be a big girl, all the while knowing she's a beautiful, smart girl with fabulous hair :)
