I read through my whole blog tonight.... I think I am in shock with how much I have changed in the last little while. Wow. I... just wow. It's amazing what a little confidence does for you.
~My weight.... Loosing a little bit of weight has definitely lead me to embrace my voluptuousness. I eat fairly healthy, stay active and enjoy chocolate when I want it. I don't feel like I have to comfort myself with food. People love me for me. I definitely feel sexier now, more so than ever before. And I think my assurance in knowing who I am, what I will tolerate and what I need in my life are more grounded and secure. Just wearing my sexy ;)
~My spiritual views are different and a little more stable. I feel piece and Zen with in me. Understand the difference between what I know to be true and what I was told is true. Those are two very different things. I no longer consider myself a Christian, and I am ok with saying that out loud. I still struggle with if I believe in a higher power and what it means if I don't. I've just kind of embraced that whole free spirited hippy chick inside me. Whatever makes you happy.
~Being a Wife...I don't feel like I need Todd like I used to. That probably comes with maturity... While I love him and I feel like we are a great parenting team, I don't feel like I have to have him with me at all times to feel complete. His Xbox is the other 'woman' in his life, my computer is mine. He does his thing, I do mine. I have learned to accept it.
~Being a Mommy...I have relaxed with my kids. I try to support their individual needs, talents and quirks. I don't yell as much as I used to (although I still have my days) and I enjoy them more than ever.
~Politics..... Oooo... Hot topic button for sure and I am sure I will step on someone's toes here. There are several things I feel like I need to say. I am a massive President Obama supporter, as most of you know... However, he has definitely not been as efficient as I had hoped, but I know he had a whole lot on his plate going into office. Here are a few things that are bugging me...The BP oil spill has not been handled with urgency. I don't understand why not. The impact that this will have on our environment is tremendous. And it's freakin' pissing me off. I also think he should be pushing for the repeal of 'Don't ask, don't tell' to be going through congress a little faster. This is bullshit and a ridiculous law in my opinion. I understand why it was put in place, but I think we have evolved and one's sexual orientation never needs to be a question going into the our military. I think he, like every other freakin' President, has coddled Wall Street......In saying this, I know he is not perfect. I never expected him to be. I truly think he is trying to do what he feels is best for the country. I am soooooo tired of the haters that are arrogant enough to call me a sheep when I defend him, but fight a ridiculous fight of 'What I think is right, is right... Your opinion is wrong' and never even try to see another side. I feel like the conservative talking heads, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and freakin' (OMG, I just can't type the real words I am thinking when I say his name) Rush Limbaugh fuel hate and misinformation. I know that the liberal talking heads can be just as bad. I refuse to watch either side of them on TV. And Facebook sucks ass on political days. There is 'copy and paste' bullshit, and seriously little to no research behind it. I am constantly posting snopes links for the accurate information. Good Lord. I am so sick of it all. In ending my lovely ranting and raving here, I think that there is never a right or wrong political belief, it's all a matter of opinion and finding what fits with what you personally believe to be important. Maybe a little more compromise. I don't know. I feel like there is always this never ending battle. I don't ever give up, but there is a time to realize that you will (almost) never change someone's mind when they are politically passionate.
~Whatever makes you happy.

Hate Spouted by Ann Coulter
Ok. I've had a few people ask me who Ann Coulter is. And today she was on 'The View' spouting hate and being totally um.....should we say.... herself. I can't stand her. When I see her on TV in interviews, I feel like screaming at the TV. I don't get her, and what the fascination is with her. She opens her mouth and mean, hateful, hurtful things just fall out. She's blaming single Mom's for the crimes in America, among MANY other things. I've heard her use slurs when talking about certain people. I've heard her constantly talking smack about our future President. And she soooo disrespected Barbara Walters and the rest of 'The View' crew and Matt Lauer when she was on 'The Today Show.' I'm just sickened by her and most of all her message, its like she doesn't have a conscience. Don't be part of the problem, be the solution.

President-elect Obama

YAY! That's all the gloating I'm going to do, at least for now.
Ok. Now. I hope that through all of this, #1, people realize that Barack Obama won by popular vote, not just by electoral votes. So more people than just me were supporting him. Others also believe in him. #2, give him a chance. Give him a chance. Please. Let him get into office and try to fix some of the things that our country needs serious help with. Let him try to do some of the things that he wants to do.
My other hope his that all of the hateful attacks, emails, and just plain lies will stop. I am hopeful for peace. I feel like a good ol' political argument can tear a family and any other relatioship for that matter, in pieces and that sucks. Our country is built on the principle that you get to vote your conscience. And it has been my experience that you are entitled to your own opinion, without someone else shoving hate down anyone's throat.
Speaking of hate, my sweet Spencer was attacked over and over for liking Obama. Yesterday was especially bad. He heard that he was supporting terrorists, killing babies (Abortion rights), and slavery (WTF?) for believing in Obama. He seriously got in my Suburban, tears rolling down his face because some of his 'friends' were horribly mean to him. It took Todd and I quite a while to claim him down. I was so proud of him for standing up for his beliefs, but sooooooooo pissed off that kids say that stuff to each other, because as much as I know kids can be cruel, they learn this from somewhere. I wanted to go kick some body's ass. The Mommy in me was raging mad. But I also realized that I was able to teach my son a little bit more about tolerance. And how much hate can hurt. We (Yes, Todd voted for Obama too) never spouted hate about John McCain. We simply told our kids why we wanted Obama to be our next President. And how if the election went the other way, we would support McCain, because that's who the majority of Americans thought would be the best person for President.
So today, I look at blogs and people's updates on Facebook and Myspace and wonder why people didn't listen to John McCain's words last night. Our country is not going to hell in a hand basket, but it will be different from what is going on now. I don't think that's a bad thing. Hopefully our President-elect will have support from the McCain supporters. This was a great election, I am so proud to be an American. I am proud that John McCain served in the military and survived imprisonment. He is a wise man, a great man. If you listen to is speech from last night, you'll see just how he cares for America and the path that it needs to be on. You'll hear that he also wants a new and different direction for our country. And just how much he wants America to get behind our new President.

Barack the Vote
YAY!!! It's voting day. I am so excited. This is the first year that I am voting for someone based on the fact that I whole heartedly believe in that certin someone. I have kinda always voted along a republican party line, but this year, I will be voting FOR someone, not AGAINST someone. I have researched, listened to and carefully watched every candidate that was part of this election year. This year I am informed. I am voting FOR someone because I BELIEVE in him, I agree with him. With all that being said, please vote. Vote because you believe in someone, vote for the person you think will be the best man for President of our great Nation.
On a sadder note, Sen. Obama's Grandma passed away yesterday. Loosing a loved one is always hard. My heart is with him and his family. Barack Obama '08

Presidential Silliness
This picture cracked me up. I know there are a lot of you that don't agree with my politics, but you have to admit, this is some funny stuff right here. There is a link below that you can go to and take a short quiz that will help you see which candidate you agree most with on the issues. Have fun with it. And just in case you were wondering, I agree with Obama on all but 2 questions. One is immigration and the other was energy. The energy one was because I didn't understand what the heck the quote was actually saying, I'm a dork.Presidential Issues Quotes Quiz

Sarah Palin & SNL Totally Rocks Take 2
A Heartbeat Away Guys, A Heartbeat Away!
As I watched the Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric last week, I honestly thought she was a total joke. I was surprised she didn't know some of the things Katie was asking her. I thought man, this person could be a heartbeat away from the President of the United States if John McCain is elected. AAAHHHH!!!! But she did prove herself tonight, during the debate, not to be a total idiot. Shock and surprise. I still think it's so funny to hear her say she and her running mate are Mavericks and part of the reform party. Does she know who has been running the country? Our fabulous President is republican. And as far as I can tell, John McCain seems to vote along side party lines A LOT! He is definitely not the Maverick reformer that Ms. Palin would have us believe. But still I was hoping for a train wreck and she didn't totally suck. Although her views are a little misconstrued in my humble opinion.
Tina Fey still nails her. Too funny.

Sarah Palin
Ok, Here I am again in support of Senator Obama. I watched Gov. Palin's speech the other night. I was impressed with her. I thought she was charismatic and charming. She seemed to give the Republican party some much needed attention. I did notice however that several of the things she said in her speech were either false or insulting. Well, I received this letter from a fellow supporter, who just happens to be a kick ass researcher, and it explained and summed up how a lot of Obama supporters felt.
Hello-
I couldn't believe the sheer number of lies that came out during the RNC last night, especially Mike Huckabee's comment about Sarah Palin getting more votes in her race for mayor than Joe Biden did in the primary for president! The fact is, Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor's election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.
The Insult Express by Karl Keene
Sarah Palin, by throwing insult after insult at Obama, has palinly (plainly) insulted the 80,000+ people who heard and cheered Barack Obama in Denver, as well as the 30+ million who watched on tv. Way to energize the people FOR Obama!
The Republicans are responsible for the mess this country is in, and in lieu of any real solutions, have NOTHING else but insults to share with the American people.
The "Straight Talk Express" has officially become "The Insult Express", and it is headed to "NOWHERE", bridge or no bridge!
Here are just a few of Sarah Palin's insults (heavily mixed with lies):
"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities."
(This was a nasty slam against the many hard-working community organizers everywhere who have helped so many people, especially Barack Obama. During Obama's three years as the Developing Communities Project director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization).
"I've noticed a pattern with our opponent. Maybe you have, too. We've all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers."
(Another slam on Obama's inspirational speeches and large following. They have so much envy and bitter jealousy, it’s almost sad).
"And there is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate."
(A blatant lie, Obama has authored several pieces of legislation. From Wikipedia:
Obama cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act
Obama introduced two initiatives bearing his name: "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons
The "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the establishment of www.USAspending.gov, a web search engine.
Obama sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.
In December 2006, President Bush signed into law the "Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act," marking the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor.
In January 2007, Obama co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.
Obama introduced S. 453, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections.
Obama also introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.
Later in 2007, Obama sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges.
Obama sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act" supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran's oil and gas industry, and co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.
Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.
"But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot..."
(Wow are they ever upset and jealous about that big crowd and awesome setting in Denver with 80,000+ supporters cheering wildly for Obama)!
"...what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet?"
(A blasphemous reference trying to likening him to a false messiah/Antichrist. Also a mockery of his pro-environmental stance).
"The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it."
(Lies, lies ,and more lies - Obama will cut taxes for the middle class and only raise taxes on the rich. He also has a comprehensive energy plan that is not dependent on fossil fuels).
" In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change. They're the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals."
(They sure are jealous of Obama’s well-run and popular campaign! And then she calls McCain a reformer, and not tied to special interests, but he’s received millions from big oil, etc. McCain's Big Oil Ties and McCain's Ties to Lobbyists Lying liar!)
"Among politicians, there is the idealism of high-flown speech-making, in which crowds are stirringly summoned to support great things. And then there is the idealism of those leaders, like John McCain, who actually do great things. They're the ones who are good for more than talk ... the ones we have always been able to count on to serve and defend America."
(Inspiring people to support great things is a bad thing? What great things has McCain done for us? Obama and Biden aren’t able to be counted on to serve and defend America, though they have way more foreign policy experience than Palin? Give me a break!)
I am so proud to be a supporter of two honorable men (Obama-Biden).
Thanks for your time,
Karl Keene

Jon Stewart- He Completes Us
I laughed so hard the other night while watching Jon Stewart. During his usually hysterical take on politics he released a 'video' about Barack. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants. I love that Mr. Stewart has always made fun of the media's obsession with my favorite politician. Too Funny.

Obama '08
Ok Guys. If you don't like politics, don't read this. As most of you know, I will be voting for Barack Obama in just a few months ( I can't wait.) I have had lively debates with many friends and family about Senator Obama. And I have seen MANY anti-Obama email, all of which I am happy to say have ALL BEEN FALSE. (Check out your emails at www.snopes.com) Not one of them have turned out to be true. Anyway, this is the person who, from day one, I have felt is the best choice for our next President. Some people around me don't believe in him and aren't sure as to why I would possibly vote for him, but if you sit through this video, maybe you'll understand why I think he is wonderful. He finally attacks freakin' McCain on his Bush like policies and addresses a lot of the ridiculous rumors and rhetoric that goes around. This man is the right person for the job. He is going to be a phenomenal president.

Political Questions, Look out, I'm a Liberal!
Would you do meth if it was legalized?
Nope, I wouldn't.
Abortion: for or against?
I am pro-chioce. I don't believe in it personally, but I will defend a woman's right to choose.
Would our country fall with a woman president?
This can't be a serious question, Women absolutely rock. You should NEVER vote for or against someone based on their gender or color. You vote for them based on similar policy beliefs. I don't think the MALE president we have now has done a very stellar job.
Do you believe in the death penalty?
Yes I do, I wish it was stricter and quicker. I also wish it would include child rape cases.
Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I honestly have no use for it, but it should be legalized.
Are you for or against premarital sex?
Absolutely for:) when you are OLD enough and MATURE enough to deal with the consequences...
Do you believe in God?
Absolutely, however, I believe a little differently than most.
Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Absolutely, I don't understand at all why this is an issue.
Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?
No, not at all.
A 12 year old girl has a baby..should she keep it?
You should never force anyone to give a baby up. That is up to the parents of that baby.
Should the alcohol age be lowered to 18?
NO
Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Yes, but under the right President, the right General, and the right plan. Obama '08
Assisted suicide is illegal..do you agree?
Nope, If I was suffering from some debilitating disease, please help me out!
Do you believe in spanking your children?
Depends on the day, the kid, and the circumstance
Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
Absolutely, I believe in our country with all my heart. I love living in America, being an American woman. Raising my kids, especially my daughters in a country that respects and embraces differences. The burning the flag issue is one that I have very strong opinions about. It's not about the money, it's about the ability to have the FREEDOM to burn the flag without being persecuted for it. I believe that it is a symbol of freedom, not freedom itself. The flag to me is a piece of material It is NOT our country or it's ideals. I think people get wrapped up in THINGS being inherently good, bad, honorable, ect.. You can treat the flag with the UTMOST respect and still slap someone in the face. That's what I think our government does to our soldiers, who go to war, fight for a cause that no one really understands at this point, and then, if and when the are wounded, our government doesn't provided them or their families with the money, facilities, or healthcare that they truely deserve. (A million dollars would come in handy)
A mother is declared innocent after murdering her 5 children in a temporary insanity case..what do you think?
It depends on the day, the kids, and the circumstance. JK!
If a Mom seriously kills her kids, she is probably crazy.
Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
I think the people that know me and love me accept this is how I feel. They're what really matters.
Nope, I wouldn't.

This is our Republican chioce 2008
I actually agree with him on a lot of issues, ( and he's a far better choice, in my opinion, than the mannequin Mitt Romney ) but I definately don't agree with him when it comes to the war in Iraq.

Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert
I absolutely love Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I think they are so funny. Stephen Colbert is the funniest 'dumb' guy I have ever seen. He's a 'republican' and is constantly trying to get his 'political' views across. He is also very into himself. I laugh so hard when he 'interviews' people. He turn's around everything that was said into what he thinks he heard. Jon Stewart says the funniest things and never takes himself serious. He has his serious moments however. He has talked about Blackwater, the wars, ect...But they both make politics hysterical. George Bush is the topic of a lot of their jokes. Stephen Colbert 'loves' George Bush and Jon Stewart thinks George Bush is an idiot. It cracks me up. These two comic geniuses are the way I love to end my night.
