This has been a day of whining and negotiating. Spencer is going to make a really good lawyer someday. He was born to never give up without exhausting every last effort go get what he wants. Spring break started today. Which meant, in his mind, no chores. It was a tragic event when he realized that he didn't get a break from being part of our family. Chores needed to be done and video games could not be played until everything was done. However, he did try VERY hard to make his point. And when you are 9, all of his reasons are valid in his mind and I am mean.
Adam & Lily got along better today than normal. For some reason they fight more than any other combination of kids. But today was good. While watching Bee Movie, Adam let Lily cuddle without pushing her off of him, and she didn't kick him once. Happy Day. We went to the movie tonight and watched Horton Hears a Who. It was cute. We had fun hanging out. Val came with us, along with Arlene's son Konnor. We also made a stop at Taco Time for dinner. So everyone was fed and content as the movie started. It was a great ending to the beginning of Spring Break.
