This weekend the Bates' clan headed to Alpine, Wyoming for Todd's Mom's family reunion. The Robertson reunion ran Thursday through Sunday. Our family arrived Friday. We packed up our new camper, and my Mother-in-law and were only 3 hours behind schedule. We had so much to do. Packing for 4 kids and making sure everything was in order, always proves to be time consuming. In the picture above, Todd's sister Becky (in yellow), her husband Mark, niece Janice and I were hanging out talking and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Mark and Becky brought Zoe down to hang out with Spencer for the day. They had so much fun together. They built a dam in the little creek and had a discussion with Adam on mass. They were telling him why he [Adam] needed to get out of the creek so they could see the water level. Everyone was cracking up. Little smarty pants!

Lily had her very first horse ride. Her cousin Mira let her take a quick ride to the road and back. Lily couldn't stop smiling. It was great. She's such a big girl. She makes me smile. Lily is one of the friendliest kids I've ever seen. She's always a big hit with people. She wants to be friends with everyone, especially the teenage girls.

This is Todd's Uncle Joe and Aunt Jeannine. They are a sweet couple. They always remember the kids when they come into Mountain View.

This is Uncle Lance, Bev's youngest brother. He is a wonderful guy and is always ready to jump in and help whoever is in need. There is also Uncle Toby. He's the nurturer of the group of siblings. He organizes most get togethers and keeps everyone informed about what is going on in the rest of the family's lives. We didn't get a very good picture of him, but I will the next time we are together. There is one more brother, Uncle Alan who wasn't able to come. He was missed terribly.
Anyway, the weekend was great. We had a great time. And I survived my mother-in-law. I was worried about spending the entire weekend plus a long car ride with her, but all is well, we didn't kill each other. YAY!
